Linn E. (Jack) Chalker (Aug. 3, 1897-1962) was the son of Gideon I. and Dora Vandeventer. Jack worked as a driver at Brown Motor Sales Company (Ithaca, Mich.) and married Bertrude Bronson. Gideon I. Chalker (1862-1932) was the son of Gideon S. and Mary S. Chalker. Gideon I. married Dora Vandeventer (1861-1939), with whom he had a son, Linn E. (Jack) Chalker (Aug. 3, 1897-1962). Jack eventually married Gertrude Bronson. Gideon I. farmed in Emerson Township (Mich.). He was appointed an elder in the Free Methodist Church of the East Mich. Conference in 1911.
